Global Wi-Fi

Global Wi-Fi

Global Wi-Fi, have you ever wondered about that? Have you ever wondered how it would be if you had Internet everywhere? Today we will talk about Global Wi-Fi, and how it will change the world.
Global Wi-Fi could change the world for many reasons.
1.Like if some people can’t afford Wi-Fi, then they will always have it.
2.And if people don’t have Internet in the mountains, they will!
3.This will also help with kids who can’t go to school; they could just take online classes everywhere.
4.Also, people who don’t have access to doctors, then they can online chat with the doctor to help.
5. Farmers will be able to look at future forecasts and then their plants will be safe and grow better.
Lots of companies have been working on this, and big one is too, Google. Google is calling this project “Loon”. Here is how they say it works, “Project Loon balloons float in the stratosphere, twice as high as airplanes and the weather. In the stratosphere, there are many layers of wind, and each layer of wind varies in direction and speed. Loon balloons go where they’re needed by rising or descending into a layer of wind blowing in the desired direction of travel. By partnering with Telecommunications companies to share cellular spectrum we’ve enabled people to connect to the balloon network directly from their phones and other LTE-enabled devices. The signal is then passed across the balloon network and back down to the global Internet on Earth.”
What they really said was that a balloon called loon will go up in the air and receive signals from the Internet station like sprint, verison, ect. Then it will make like an Internet in the sky, and all people can connect to it. But what would you think if that these balloons get shot up in the sky when they are like 15 meters in diameter get hit by and airplane or something. This could cause bad things like if an airplane crashes over Washington DC. Also, these Internet providers not be wanting to do this, because the global wifi is going to cost way less, and if they don’t want to do then these won’t work.
Here is another project that I found called cubesat. “A New York City-based company, the Media Development Investment Fund, plans to launch hundreds of low-cost miniature satellites known as “cubesats” into orbit around the Earth to create the Outernet, a wireless connection to the Web available for free to every person in the world. If everything goes according to plan, the Outernet could be here as soon as June 2015. Each cubesat receives data from a network of ground stations around the world and transmits this information on a loop until new information is received. This means using the Outernet will be more like watching a program broadcast on TV, though Outernet users will build a priority list for the information they want and make suggestions for new content. “

Coding!

Coding:
Coding and programming are the same thing. They are used to build many things like websites, games, apps, ect. There are hundreds of code languages. And they are not so easy to do, and take a long time to learn. So there will be a few code languages below to explain what they are and what they do. Now keep in mind, you need to know the languages before the language you want to know or it will be VERY hard. For example, if I wanted to learn JQuery then I would have to learn html, CSS, and Javascript. (Want to learn about this? Go here - http://www.codecademy.com/learn )

HTML and CSS:

HTML and CSS is one of the easiest codes out there. This code language is very useful in businesses. If you learn how to write this code, you can build websites! People think it is easy to build there own website from scratch, but it is hard because you need to learn a big but easy coding language. For example, if you want ad ad on there, you have to embed it on to your website, which is sorda easy. “HTML is a computer language devised to allow website creation. These websites can then be viewed by anyone else connected to the Internet. It is relatively easy to learn, with the basics being accessible to most people in one sitting; and quite powerful in what it allows you to create. It is constantly undergoing revision and evolution to meet the demands and requirements of the growing Internet audience under the direction of the » W3C, the organisation charged with designing and maintaining the language. “  ( Got this from - http://www.yourhtmlsource.com/starthere/whatishtml.html )

JavaScript:

JavaScript is not the easiest coding languages out there. You have to remember lots of stuff. “It does this by converting your static page into one that can interact with your visitors without them needing to wait for a new page to load every time they make a request. JavaScript adds behavior to the web page where the web page is capable of responding to actions by your visitors without needing to load a new web page in order to process their request”(Got this - http://javascript.about.com/od/reference/a/javascriptpurpose.htm) As said in this, JavaScript adds behavior to your website.
JQuery:
JQuery is not easy. But once you put hard work into it and learn it, it will be fun to use. But in order to learn this you have to know JavaScript and JQuery, but this is one of the fun coding languages because with this, you can make animated things on websites or pictures. Not just animated things, you make alerts on your webpage or/and you can do many other things. Lots of big companies use this coding. For example, Google, Microsoft, IBM, and Netflix use this coding language!
PHP:

“One of the strongest and most significant features in PHP is its support for a Writing a database-enabled web page is incredibly simple using one of the database specific extensions” (from http://php.net/manual/en/intro-whatcando.php) PHP is a coding language that powers things like Facebook.

Bitcoins, What are they?

What are Bit coins? Bit coins are digital money that you can send through the Internet. Bit Coins are stored into your digital wallet, which is verified by a miner. A miner is certain people who make bit coins at a predictable rate. You can purchase a lot of things on the web with bit coins. But if you wan your money back from bit coins, you can exchange bit coins for money. And since no one really supports it yet, so a bit coin is worth 250$ today.
Now I will talk about Bit Coin Mining. Let’s just say it’s not that easy. In order to “mine” Bit Coins, You need a computer that can be used to the max, meaning everything must be able to be used at 100% without heating over. Warning, do not use a laptop! It will destroy it! Also you need a way better graphics card. Now your computer will take a lot of energy, like 300 watts, and you electric bill will go up.
Now Bit Coins are not that profitable, because it will probably take you a week just to make 1/3 of a Bit Coin because all the math in it.
